Optum Analytics Conference

Data Science University (DSU) is an innovative response to the critical shortage of data science talent at Optum.  Now in its second year, DSU exemplifies the concept of One Optum Again as an outstanding example of collaboration between Product Engineering and Data Solutions (PEDS) and OptumLabs. This talk will outline how DSU can be used as a mechanism to access data science talent to solve important Optum business problems through the data science specialization within the Technology Development Program. It will also provide a high level description of the topics covered in its customized data science curriculum.  To our knowledge, this is the only program in the country that focuses upon the combination of data science technical training, with health care domain knowledge, for the purpose of driving innovation and solving important business problems.
